its been interesting so far
besides learning that all of my classmates are avid gamers and techies, the subjects have been really confusing as to their topics, particularly BASICON.
BASICON is the only computer subject I have this term aside from COMPRO1
it means Basic Computer Concepts, I didn't know back then what basicis in computer.
Well, after 3 weeks of staying in DLSU, I have finally learned 2 things:
1. BASICON is Computer Math
2. You Never study Computer and Basic Math together, it'll confuse you.
How confusing?
1 + 1 =2
simple eh? its basic addition, its what we've been learning since our kindergarten days. And that's MATH.
Here's how 1 + 1 is in COMPUTER MATH:
1 + 1 = 2................
1 + 1 = 2 w/ subscript 16
1 + 1 = 10
1 + 1 = 0000 0010
OR
1 + 1 = 0000 0010.0000
1 + 1 = 1
1 + 1 = 3 w/ subscript 8
Sabaw noh! I can't use those in normal math!
But it doesn't stop there..........
To think that they're torturing us with numbers........ they've cruelly added letters and words in the problem......
For Example:
X times(x) O = O
X + 1 = 1
(x + y) (X + z) (y + z) = (x + y) (X + z) (two of the X's are darker than the others)
and the simple
true + true = true
true + false = false
once again. I can't use this on normal math
no wonder i keep saying too much numbers on Plurk (-_-)
and you know what the worst part is..........
I AM LOVING EVERY SINGLE BIT OF IT!!! XD \m/
